CAPTAIN ROALD AMUNDSEN

DISCOVERER OF THE NORTHWEST PASSAGE, JUNE 1903 - AUGUST 26, 1905 AND DISCOVERER OF THE SOUTH POLE DEC. 14, 1911. HE CROSSED THE NORTH POLE MAY 12, 1926 IN THE AIRSHIP NORGE.

HE WAS BORN IN NORWAY JULY 16, 1872 AND PERSIHED IN THE ARCTIC SEA JUNE 18, 1926, BOUND ON A RESCUE MISSION.
