Elusive melodies of lips long dead,Long since dissolved to cemetery dustAnd the damp exhalations of their bed,Blow from the graves in soothing tones of trust.
Sad, quiet strains of deep tranquillityFalter and tremble to the dying sun,Falter and tremble o'er the dewy leaIn haunting harmonies of days long done.
