Description
English: "Dialogue between the Roman Emperor Hadrian and Epictetus the Philosopher". The "conversation" survives in many medieval manuscripts and purports to give a conversation between Hadrian the emperor and Epictetus he philosopher. It was published in print in an addendum to an illustrated edition of the Notitia Dignitatum by Andrea Alciati (or "Andrew Alciatus") in 1552. This English translation appeared in The Knickerbocker, Volume 50, August 1857 No.2.
