Langan To Be Named As Sewer Inspector
Owen Langan will more than likely be appointed at to-day's meeting the City Commissioners to the position of sewer inspector. Langan is already filling this position on sixty-day appointment. He was appointed to this position pending a civil service examination. The examination was held recently, and to the surprise of many in the City Hall, Jersey City, Langan come out third instead of first, as it was supposed he would. Thomas Fallon, Jr., who recently returned from the war zone in France. heads the list, and is said to be Commissioner Brensinger's choice. At missioner the meeting Byrne this will afternoon will introduce a resolution calling for the appointment of Langan. Brensinger will stand by his man Fallon. According to the policy of most of the commissioners, the man who heads the civil service list is entitled to the job. Just what the outcome will be is uncertain, and is being watched with considerable interest.
