Long-term plan: I'd like to see the whole of the first Volume of The Gentleman's Magazine proofread (covering 1731), but it's not going to be quick! They're all available on [Internet Archive]. It looks like they were taken from a bound compilation of Volume I, although this first issue omits the contents page which is present in all the other issues.

As it's a pre-1800 text, it uses the long-s. In all my proofreading of long-s texts I convert this to modern s, as I consider long-s to be purely typographical. You're welcome to use
