@Hrishikes: I have uploaded this medical journal today through IA upload tool. This file is tagged as joint work with multiple authors at Wikicommons. Is there any issue to upload a 1887/1904 file to Commons. Please check.--Rajasekhar1961 (talk) 11:46, 31 January 2021 (UTC)Reply

@Hrishikes: Can you help me by shifting the file to English wikisource. I have uploaded some medical journals like Indian Journal of Medical Research and like; but this issue was not raised earlier. Will they also have similar problem later.--Rajasekhar1961 (talk) 18:09, 31 January 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Rajasekhar1961: -- Magazines generally have right of first publication only, so copyright rests with the contributors, except items by magazine staff like editorials, book reviews etc. So magazines should be uploaded locally, except when you can prove that it is PD in source country.  Comment @Rajasekhar1961: If we can demonstrate that all the authors are PD then we can have the file at Commons, though that is usually a reasonable amount of effort at the initial phase; hence why the recommendation about local upload. It is fairly easy to move to Commons later, especially if we have all the templates set up properly. For any works that you have uploaded at Commons and you think that they may be problematic, then add to the list at my user talk page that I am about to create. @Hrishikes: and @Billinghurst: Thank you very much for the prompt response. Though I am trying my best, it is very big task of identifying the authors. If we can shift the file from Commons to Wikisource later without any risk of losing the links, we can do it at a later date.
