The Way of Our Going

Distant and desolate islands
Where nameless seabirds dwell
Are our homes and habitations
Who have yielded to mystery's spell.

Singers by grey twilight waters,
We are the children of mist,
Seekers for all hidden wisdoms,
Immaculate dreams that exist.

Tides rise and fall and we follow
From dawn till the dark of the night;
None traces the way of our going,
The shadowy path of our flight.
