Gifford, Charles, B.A. London Univ. 1840, a student of Lincoln's Inn 27 Oct., 1841 (then aged 20), called to the bar 19 Nov., 1846 (eldest son of Charles Gifford, Esq., of Exmouth); born , 1821; married 12 Jan., 1855, Frances Elizabeth, dau. of Lt.-Col. Francis Fuller; she died 8 Sept., 1867, leaving 2 sons (see Foster's Our Noble and Gentle Families).
