Kaye, Joseph, a master of supreme court of judicature since 1879, of common pleas division 1875–9, a master of the common pleas 1869–75, registrar of acknowledgments of deeds by married women since 1876, a student of the Middle Temple 28 May, 1850, called to the bar 26 Jan., 1854 (eldest son of William Kaye, Esq., of Ampney Park, co. Glouc.); born , ; married 1st, 15 Sept., 1864, Charlotte Alice, eldest dau. of Rev. Isaac Philip Prescott, M.A., vicar of Priors Marston 1862–78; she died 20 Aug., 1865, leaving a dau.; he married 2ndly, 13 Oct., 1870, Mary St. Quintin, eldest dau. of Henry George Astell, Esq., late B.C.S.
