Mellor, James Robert, LL.M., Trin. Hall, Camb., 1866 (law scholar 1863), master of Crown office Royal Courts of Justice since 1879, also master of High Court since 1874, a student of the Inner Temple 15 Jan., 1862 (then aged 22), called to the bar 17 Nov., 1865 (3rd son of Rt. Hon. Sir John Mellor, late justice Queen's bench division); born 24 May, 1839; married 29 Oct., 1868, Anne Jane, elder dau. of Thomas Shaw, Esq., of London, and has issue (see Foster's Baronetage).
