Swift, Herbert Henry, M.A., Trin. Coll., Camb., 1865, junior counsel to treasury in metropolitan smoke prosecutions since 1879, assistant barrister Liverpool city sessions since 1881, a member of the Northern circuit, a student of the Inner Temple 28 April, 1865 (then aged 29), called to the bar 27 Jan., 1868 (only son of John Swift, Esq., of London); born 27 April, 1836; married 29 July, 1876, Ada Caroline, eldest dau. of David Little, Esq., of Bradford, Yorks.
