Announcement of the Chief of the Council for Democratic Reform
No 6
Re: Rectification of the trouble undergone by our brothers and sisters who are labourers, rice farmers, and agricultural workers

Whereas our brothers and sisters who are labourers, rice farmers, and agricultural workers have been troubled by problems affecting their survival, which the Council for Democratic Reform has learnt about with great sympathy and has already considered some help to alleviate, but [the Council] is now in the process of rectifying the problems affecting national order in order to restore the state of normalcy; [the Council] hereby requests our brothers and sisters who are labourers, rice farmers, and agricultural workers to remain calm and refrain from making any move or demand at this moment, unless it would give a chance for those wishing ill for the Nation to stir up unrest. As regards the problems which have been troubling our brothers and sisters who are labourers, rice farmers, and agricultural workers, the Council for Democratic Reform will further join in considering and seeking appropriate ways which would help alleviate them without delay.
