Note: The grounds for promulgation of this Royal Decree are as follows: Whereas Kham Khuean Kaeo subdistrict of Khong Chiam district, and Khan Rai subdistrict, Chong Mek subdistrict, Nikhom Sang Ton-eng Lam Dom Noi subdistrict, Non Ko subdistrict, and Fang Kham subdistrict of Phibun Mangsahan district, Ubon Ratchathani province, encompass a vast area with crowded communities and trading communities of which the conditions have been much more developed than before, it is appropriate to separate the said subdistricts from Khong Chiam district and Phibun Mangsahan district to form a district called "Sirindhorn district", for the sake of the administration, the provision of services by the State, the convenience of people, and the promotion of local development, as well as for honouring Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn, the Great Princess Royal of Siam, on the occasion of her third cycle birthday anniversary in the year 2534 Buddhist Era. It is therefore necessary to enact this Royal Decree.
