Royal Gazette

18 January 2545

Note: The grounds for promulgation of this Royal Decree are as follows: Whereas the Act on the Body for Allocation of Frequency and Regulation of Radio and Television Broadcasting Businesses and Telecommunication Businesses, 2543 BE, provides that all the businesses, property, rights, powers and duties, debts, and budgets of the Post and Telegraph Department, Ministry of Communications, are to be transferred to the Office of the National Commission for Telecommunication Businesses, save the postal business and the budget money under the Chapter on Monthly Salaries and Regular Wages being in possession of [any] persons, which shall be transferred to the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Communications, the operation of the said provision results in cessation of the businesses as well as the powers and duties of the Post and Telegraph Department, Ministry of Communications, making it appropriate to dissolve the Post and Telegraph Department, Ministry of Communications. However, section 230, paragraph 2, of the Constitution of the Kingdom of Thailand, as well as section 8quater, paragraph 1, of the Act on Rules for Public Administration of the State, 2534 BE, as amended by the Act on Rules for Public Administration of the State (No. 4), 2543 BE, provide that dissolution of a public entity is effected by the enactment of a Royal Decree. It is therefore necessary to enact this Royal Decree.
