the orthography is generally that of Sir Wm. Jones, as explained in the 1st Volume of the Asiatic Researches, but the grave accent is used instead of the acute, to mark a naturally long syllable when final or formed by Sanᶁhi, and K, is occasionally substituted for C, before i and e in words belonging to the southern dialects only: other variations of trifling importance will be observed.
