Warehouse Details Cont'd.

Storeroom is too small and totally inadequate for maximum operation. Personnel: 2 enlisted men and 1 civilian. Radar & Radio - Class 16 material. Storeroom 2, 134 sq. ft. Personnel: 1 enlisted man. Stores sufficient to meet demands. Receiving Section - Contains 11,751 sq. ft. Totally inadequate for the volume of material handled. Personnel: 6 enlisted men and 1 civilian.

Designation - Will's Warehouse.

Leased or Construction - Leased.

Location - South Street, Fremantle.

Use - Storage and issue of classes, 6, 10, 11, 12, 22, 23, 26, 27, 39, 44, 46, 47, 48, 50, 58, 59, 60, 75, 76.

Area Sq. Ft. - Total 25,000 sq. ft.

Type of Construction - Timber and iron.

Personnel: 14 enlisted men and 18 civilians.

REMARKS: This warehouse is very well stocked with the above classes of supplies needed by activities in this area. Its operations, however, are limited due to the shortage of storage space. With present stocks, the warehouse should be double its present size in order to operate to capacity. Lack of personnel is also a hampering influence.

Designation - Wool Shed No. 7

Leased or Constructed - Leased.

Location - Shuffrey Street, Fremantle.

Use - Ordnance Spares and Landing Force gear.

Area Sq. Ft. - Total 23,000 sq. ft.

Type of construction - Timber and iron.

Personnel - 5 enlisted men.

REMARKS: This warehouse contains all Ordnance supply material and landing force gear. In addition a total of 5,104 sq. ft. is allocated to the Ordnance Department for space used as a repair shop, which is a separate function and not under the jurisdiction of Naval Supply Depot.
