STORAGE AND SUPPLY (Cont'd)

Designation - Woolworths Storehouse.

Leased or Constructed - Leased.

Location - Cnr. Henry and Phillimore Sts., Fremantle.

Use - Storage and issue of material in classes 2, 5, 13, 19, 23, 24, 27, 31, 32, 33, 37, 57, 63, 64, 74.

Area sq. ft. - total 17,000 sq. ft.

Type of Construction - Brick.

Personnel - 4 enlisted men and 2 civilians.

REMARKS: This warehouse consists of a three-story building. It is an old building with a consequent light floor-load capacity. Therefore, all stores and material assigned to this warehouse can not be assembled. It is necessary to store bulk material of the above classes in other warehouses until issues are made and new stock can be segregated to bins. Operations are limited by the lack of storage space and lack of personnel. No other suitable storage space is available.

Designation - Tarpot Warehouse.

Leased or Constructed - Leased.

Location - Swan Street, Fremantle.

Use - Issues of classes 14 and 59. Bulk storage for all warehouses.

Area sq. ft. - Total 50,000 sq. ft.

Type of Construction - Timber and iron.

Personnel - 4 enlisted men.

REMARKS: This warehouse is used principally to stow all bulk material for other warehouses. Also regular issues in classes 14 and 59 are made to ships and stations. Material for various ships and activities is stowed here when such activities have no storage space of their own available.
