STORAGE AND SUPPLY (Cont'd)

Use - Storage and issue of oil and kerosene.

Area sq. ft. - Total 5,000 sq. ft.

Type of Construction - Stone.

Personnel - 1 enlisted man.

REMARKS: This building is a small warehouse used to handle issues of oil and kerosene to all ships and activities in this area. The warehouse is too small for efficient operation as the overflow of oil is stored in open space. Warehouse is in poor shape and lack of personnel limits its operation.

Designation - Port Garage Warehouse.

Leased or Constructed - Leased.

Location - Canning Highway, Fremantle.

Use - Storage for all types of gas cylinders.

Area sq. ft. - total 2,500 sq. ft.

Type of Construction - Brick

Personnel - 1 enlisted man.

REMARKS: This building is a small garage used for storing and issuing all types of gas cylinders. One enlisted man in charge, who makes issues and in addition is in charge of two other small warehouses.

Designation - Lysaght's Warehouse.

Leased or Constructed - Leased.

Location - Packenham Street, Fremantle.

Use - Storage for Advance Base Material and Cordage also used for Receiving and Shipping Section.

Area sq. ft. - Total 22,000 sq. ft.

Type of Construction - Brick.

Personnel - 4 enlisted men and 3 civilians.

REMARKS: Operations are very limited because this warehouse has to be used as a Shipping and Receiving Section in addition to storing the above material. Material on hand considered sufficient to meet present demands.

SECRET
