The little man reply'd,
If you'll be my little bride,
I will raise my littlenotes a little higher &c.
though I've little for to prate,
Yet my little heart is great.
By the little god of love I'm on fire, fire, fire

The little maid reply'd,
If I be your little bride,
Pray, what would you give me to eat? &c.
Would the flame that you're so rich in
Light a fire into the kithen,
Or the little god of love turn the spit, &c.

The little man reply'd,
And some said a little cry'd,
For his little heart was fill'd with sorrow &c.
With the little that I have,
I will be your little slave,
And the rest, my little dear, we will borrow, &c.

Thus did the little gent,
Make the little maid relent,
For her little heart began for to beat, &c.
Though his offers were but small,
She accepted of them all;
Now she thanks her little stars for her fate fate, &c.
