грести (гребу, гребёт; p грёб, гребла, -о, -и) to row. Уже поздно, гребите к пристани. It's late now; row to the pier.
греть to heat. Воду для бритья тут приходится греть на примусе. You have to heat the water here on a primus (stove) for shaving. • to give off heat. Эта железная печка совсем не греет. This iron stove doesn't give off any heat.
грех (-а) sin. После такой работы не грех поспать подольше.
It's no sin sleeping longer after working so hard. • crime.
Перед вами такая прекрасная возможность, грех ею не
воспользоваться. You have such a wonderful opportunity
before you, it'd be a crime to waste it. • responsibility.
Ну, этот грех я беру на себя. I'll take the responsibility
for it.
□ Всё идёт гладко, грех жаловаться. There's nothing
to complain about; everything's going smoothly. • *Я
сегодня нездоров и работаю с грехом пополам. I'm not
well today and my work's not up to snuff. • У него много
грехов на совести. He has a lot on his conscience. • Простите,
мой грех! I'm sorry; it's my fault! • "Я вижу, вы
