Τοτε και Νααμανης των εκθρων Σκηνητων φυλαρχος, εξαγιστος και παμμιαγος Ἑλλην (i.e. a pagan), ὡς και ανθρωπους αυτοχειρι σφαγιαζειν τοις αυτου δαιμονιοις, τῳ αγιῳ προσηλθε βαπτισματι, την οντως ολην χρυσην Αφροδιτην πυρ τηξας, και πτωχοις διαδους, και παντας τους αμφ' αυτου τῳ θεῳ προσαγαγων. Evagrius, lib. vi. c. 22. This account agrees remarkably with that of the Arabian writers.
