Richard Bulkley resigned the archdeaconry of Merio- neth for this of Anglesey about 1500. He died about
^5^3 or 1524- William Glynn, LL.D., was admitted 6th April 1524,
and died in 1537^"^.
William Capon, admitted 26th Sept. 1537 : he held but a few weeks.
John Salisbury, suffragan bishop of Thetford, was col- lated to this dignity 20th Dec. 1537, and deprived in
George Griffith was collated 15th June 1554. Died, I believe, in 15581^.
Griffith Roberts was admitted 19th Oct. 1558 1^; de- prived soon after, and
John Salisbury again restored in 1559^^. Ob. in 1573.
Nicholas Robinson, bishop of Bangor, held this dignity in coraraendam till his death in Feb. 15845.
Owen Owens was collated in 1584, and died in the time of bishop Bellot, between 1386 and 1595*. He was the last that held this Aigmiy pleno jure. Since his death, all the bishops of Bangor have successively held it in commendam, till the year 1685, when it was annexed by act of parliament to the bishopric, as well as that of Bangor, and so continued to the year 1 844 when this archdeaconry was united with that of Ban- gor, and
John Jones, B.D., was appointed archdeacon of Bangor 9th March 1844.
