SECOND STALL.
William Teesham, S.T.P., who was made the fifth canon of the college first founded by king Henry VIII, was appointed the first in this stall of the last foun- dation. He was deprived in 1560. He died at Bug- brook in Northamptonshire in 1569, and was buried in the chancel there.
Johx Calfhill, A.M., archdeacon of Colchester, suc- ceeded 5th July 1560. He resigned in 1570, and died at Booking in Essex 20th Aug. in the same year, and was buried there.
Tobias Matthew, A.M., archdeacon of Bath, suc- ceeded in 1570; in 1576 he was made dean of this church.
Daniel Bernard, S.T.P., was substituted in Matthew's place in 1577. He died in Sept. 1588, and was buried in the cathedral.
Johx Pueefoy, A.M., was admitted in Sept. 1588.
