He died in Aug. 796^^, and was suc- ceeded by 796 Eanbald II i^j he was consecrated 14th Aug. 796 ^^ at Socburn, in the county of Durham, and received his pall 8th Sept. 797-^. The time of his death has not been ascertained. His successor was 812 Wlfsius^i. The time of his taking possession of the see, and that of his death, is uncertain; but 812 is given for the first by some later writers. 831 WiMUNDUs'^- or WiGMUNDus^a. There is the like uncertainty about this prelate as about his prede- cessor Wlfsius. He is supposed to have been elected in 831. 854 Wlfhere became archbishop of York in 854, and re- ceived his pall in that year^^ He was driven from his see in 87 2 2^, and restored to it in the following year '^6. He died in 893^7^ in the 39th year of his presulate. 900 Aethelbald succeeded in 89528^ ^nd was consecrated in 900'^^. The time of his death does not appear. RoDEWARD-^" or LoDEWARD.
