He died 26th Sept. 1626, setat. 71, and was solemnly buried in St. Saviour's church, Southwark, 1 ith Nov. following, bishop Buckeridge of Rochester preaching his funeral sermon^. The license to elect a bishop in the room of Lancelot Andrews is dated 18th Nov. 1627^. 1628 Richard Neyle_, bishop of Durham^ was elected to this 3 Car. I. to this see 26th Oct. 1632, and confirmed i6th Nov. following 10. He died at Soberton in Hampshire in 1647, and was buried in the church there 1^. 1660 Brian Duppa, bishop of Salisbury, was elected to this see 12 Car. II. loth Sept. 1660, and was confirmed 4th Oct. follow- ing i^. He died 26th March 1662, setat. 74, and was buried in Westminster abbey ^^, His will, dated 4th Feb. 1661-2, was proved i6th May 1662. 1662 George Morley, bishop of Worcester^ was elected to 14 Car. II. this see 20th April 1662, and confirmed 14th May following 1^. He died 29th Oct. 1684, and was buried in Winchester cathedral. His will was proved 31st Oct. 1684. 1684 Peter Mew, bishop of Bath and Wells, was translated 36 Car. !l. to this see, 2nd Nov.^^, and was confirmed 22nd Nov. 1684^^ He did his homage to the King on the 24th ' Pat. 16 Jac.
