The temporalities were re- stored to him 5th June following. He was translated to Rochester in 1723. 1 723 John Waugh^ S.T.P., dean of Gloucester ^ was nominated 9 Geo. I. 30th May 1723, the conge d'elire issued 8th Aug., and his election took place on the 23rd of that month ; he was consecrated 13th Oct. *^ He died 29th Oct. 1734, aetat. 78, and was buried 3rd Nov. at St.Peter's, Cornhill, London. 1735 George Fleming, LL.D., dean of Carlisle ^ was nomi- 7 Geo. He was confirmed 1 8th Jan., and consecrated at Lambeth 19th Jan. 1734—5 ; did homage at St. James's on the 23rd of the same month, and became Sir George Fleming, bart., in Aug. 1736, on the death of his elder brother Sir William.
