He was translated to St. Asaph in 1670, but allowed to hold this see in commendani till Oct. 1671. 1671 Henry Bridgman, dean of Chester^ was consecrated bishop of Man at Chester ist Oct. 1671'^^. He died 1 8th May 1682, and was buried in Chester cathedral. 1682 John Lake, archdeacon of Cleveland ^ was consecrated in Dec. 1682, and was translated to Bristol in 1684. 1685 Baptist Levixz, 8.T.P., was consecrated at Lambeth 15th March 1684-521. He died 31st Jan. 1692-3, and was buried in Winchester church ^2. See vacant five years. 1697 Thomas Wilson, LL.D., being nominated by the earl of Derby, was accepted by the King 25th Dec. 1697, and consecrated in the Savoy church in the Strand 16th Jan. following^^. 1755 Mark Hildesley was nominated 9th April 1755, con- firmed on the 26th of the same month, and conse- crated the next day. He died in 1772. 1773 Richard Richmond, nominated 23rd Jan, 1773, con- firmed 5th Feb., and consecrated on the 14th of the same month. He died in 1780. 1780 George Mason, nominated 19th Feb. 1780, confirmed 4th March, and consecrated the next day. Ho died in 1783. 1784 Claudius Crjgan, nominated jst March 1784, and received the royal assent on the 25th of the same month. He was confirmed 3rd April, and consecrated the next day. He died in 1813. 1813 George Murray, nominated by the duke of Athol 22nd May 1 8 13, and received the royal assent 8th June 1 8 13. Ho was confirmed 5th March 1814, and consecrated the next day.
