PREBENDARIES. 359 Giles Eyre was admitted 17th Sept. 1549, loco G. Carleton69. Thomas Bricket or Birkhead was installed 20th Oct. 155 1, loco Egid. Eyre 7^. William Pye, installed 3rd May 1554. Prebendaries of this stall since the settlement hy queen Elizabeth. Gabriel Goodman, M.A., was appointed the first in this stall by the Queen's patent, dated 21st June 1560 "1. He became dean. Thomas Watts, archdeacon of Middlesex^ installed 3rd Nov. 1561, and died about 1577. Edward Grant was admitted 27th May 1577. He died in Sept. or Oct. 1601, and was buried in the abbey. William Barlowe, S.T.P., was installed 3rdDec.i6oi. He died bishop of Lincoln 7th Sept. i(5i3, but held this prebend in commendam as long as he lived. John King, S.T.B., was installed 18th Sept. 1613. He died 7th Aug. 1638, and was buried in St. George's chapel at Windsor. George Aglionby, S.T.P., was nominated 7th Sept. and installed 28th Sept. 1638. He died in the begin- ning of Nov. J 643, and was buried at Christ Church in Oxford. Prebendaries admitted since the Restoration'^'^. Henry Killigrew was installed 5th July 1660.
