John Pocklingtox, S.T.P., was appointed by patent 20th Dec. 1639 ^^^^ installed 5th Jan. 1639--40 : void by the death of Thomas Sheafe'^ Pocklington was deprived 2nd Feb. 1640. Herbert Croft, S.T. P., was appointed by patent 28th June, and installed ist July 1641: void by the depriva- tion of Pocklington '^6. He became dean and bishop of Hereford. Hugh Cressky, S.T.P._, was appointed by patent 27th Dec. 1642 '7 : void by the death of Gilbert Primrose; but Cressy was never installed. He died 10th Aug. 1 674, and was buried in the church of East Grinsted in Sussex. From this time till after the Restoration no certain account of any installations of canons has yet occurred. Edward Fulham, S.T. P., was appointed by patent 7th July, and installed 12th July 1660: void by the death of Thomas Some ^. Fulham died gth Dec. 1694. Anthony Hawles or Hawleyes,S.T.P., was appointed by patent 29th June, and installed 18th July 1660: void by the death of John Hales '-^ Hawles died 16th Jan. 1663, and was buried at Windsor. John Lloyd, M.A., was appointed by patent 7th July, and installed 18th July 1660, loco Cressey, per dere- lictionem ecclesiae Anglicanse. Lloyd died 9th April 167 J. Ralph Brideoke, S.T.l^., was appointed by patent 19th July, and installed 28th July 1660^: void by the death of Thomas Howell '*'. Ho became bishop of Chichester. •"^4 Pat. 15 Car. I. p. i.
