Richard Baylie, S.T.B., was elected 1 2th Jan. 1632-3, and ejected by the Parliament delegates 20th Jan. 1 647-8. He became dean of Salisbury. Francis Cheynel, S.T.B., late fellow of Merton college^ was substituted by the same authority that ejected his predecessor, 13th April 1648. He resigned I2tli Sept. 1650. Thankful or Gracious Ov/es^M.A., fellow of Liticoln college, and senior proctor of the university, was con- stituted by the Parhament delegates, 6th Sept. 1650. Richard Baylie, S.T.P., was restored the latter end of July, or beginning of August, 1660. He died at Salisbury, 27th July 1667, and was buried in this college chapel.
