PETER-HOUSE. 669 Thomas Turner, S.T.B., succeeded 13th June 1615. Leonard Mawe, S.T.P., succeeded 6th Nov. 16 17. Translated to Trinity college. He was afterwards bishop of Bath and Wells. Matthew Wren, S.T.P.^was admitted 26th July 1625. He resigned 22nd Jan. 1634—5, being then bishop elect of Hereford. John Cosin was admitted 8th Feb. 16^4—^^ and ejected 13th March 1643—4. See Deans of Peterborough. Lazarus Seaman was appointed master by the au- thority of the Parliament nth April 1644. His will is in the Prerogative Office 3^; proved in 1676. After the Restoration John Cosin was again restored 3rd Aug. 1660; and he being in the same year made bishop of Durham, Bernard Hale, S.T.P., was constituted master 5th Nov. 1660. See Archdeacons of Ely. And after his death, Joseph Beaumont, S.T.P., was appointed by the vi- sitor, the bishop of Ely, 21st April 1663. He died 23rd Nov. 1699.
