Before the day begins,
I ask God for his help,
And as soon as night approaches,
To watch over me with love.
GOD IS WITH ME.
The good God sees me,
He looks at me from the sky,
He is with me,
And always watches over me;

LITTLE MARY.
Who doesn't love little Mary,
She is so wise in the night!
She neither calls nor cries out,
And never makes any noise at all,
If she has to wait more than an hour,
Sometimes, without being able to sleep,
Don't think that she cries,
Or even gives a sigh.
