17. Đā cwæð sēo duruðīnen tō Petre, Cwyst ðū eart ðū of ðyses leorningcnihtum? Đā cwæð hē, Nicc, ne eom ic.
18. Đā þēowas and ðā þegnas stōdon at ðām glēdon and wyrmdon hig, for þām hit was ceald; witodlīce Petrus stōd mid him and wyrmde hyne.
19. Sē bisceop āxode þone Hǣlend embe his leorningcnihtas, and embe his lāre.[5]
