For ten years he was president of Granville college; and afterward was president of Dennison university. He then became president of the newly established college at Franklin, Ind. He bequeathed his library to Franklin college. He published sermons, addresses and reviews. He died June 11, 1874, in Paris, France. Bailey, Silas Milton, soldier, was born in 1836 in Pennsylvania. During the civil war he attained the rank of brigadier-general. He died May 5, 1900, in Pennsylvania.
