THE LOVER'S SUMMONS.

ARISE thou ſovereign of my heart,
and do not mee diſdain
Come now and quickly take a part

with me your conquer'd ſwain.

To you alone I am a ſlave,
there's none on earth can cure
The flame that in my breaſt I have,
for you I do endure.

Come now, dear nymph and eaſe the heart
of me your darling ſwain;
My love for you within my heart,
does constantly remain.

Now we in Hymen's bauds will wed,
our hearts united more ;
In love live without any dread,
and joys for evermore.

THE BANKS OF DOON.

YE banks and braes of bonny Doon,
how can you bloom ſo freſh and fair,
How can your blue ſtream row ſo clear,
when I'm ſo wearytu o' care?
