Patria. India Orientalis, Zeylona, Archipelago Malaica, et Nova Hollandia tropica.
Obs. Gaertner has given an excellent account of the fruit of this genus, in his description of Nerium Zeylani- cum, and he no doubt supposed, that the fruit of Nerium Oleander was essentially the same. It is, however, very remarkably different. And no genus is more distinct in habit, or more beautifully characterized than this, which I
