A camisole is usually worn under a sheer blouse or dress. This style has elastic around waistline.
HOW TO DRAFT CAMISOLE
I
Using the hip length dress foundation as a guide, trace front and back to waistline only; then reduce width of bodice at bust line to nothing at waistiine.
After tracing the hip sections, raise hip and waist- line ¾″ at side to nothing at center of hipline asshown by dotted lines.

Draft top of camisole, making length of center front 10″ center back 7″, and side seams 8″ as shown by dotted lines.
Draw shoulder strap lines in front and back as indicated.
Make peplum front and back 4″ long. Eliminate the waist darts in front and back.

Make casing for waistline to equal waistline measurement of bodice (center front to center back).
Upper edge of camisole is trimmed with embroidered insertion beading and drawn in with ribbon tie.
Add seams and make corresponding notches.

Using the hip sections of the dress foundation as a side, curve the hip and waist lines up ¾″ toward the side as shown by dotted lines.
Reduce the width and length of the waist darts as indicated.

Reduce waistline ¾″ at each side seam, and raise waistline ½″ at sides as shown by dotted lines; then draw the waistline and side seams slightly curved as shown in diagram III.
Draw a line 1″ above hip line to complete length of petticoat yoke pattern.

Draft petticoat required length (about ½″ shorter than skirt length) and make width of petticoat at least 2-½ times the width of lower edge of yoke from center front to center back.
Divide petticoat into 2 parts, making width of front 1/3, and width of side and back 2/3 of the entire width as indicated.
Draft facing for lower edge of petticoat 10″ deep.
Allow for seams on all sewing edges.

This style features a fitted yoke and a very full petticoat (about 2-1/2 yards sweep).
It can be made of tafetta or crinoline for "bouffant" wear.
If made in crinoline, the yoke and a 10″ deep hem is made of silk, tafetta, rayons, cottons, etc.
