DREAMING
To My Young Girl Friends
OH, dream, loved ones, dream on,
And may you happy be,
Thus borne on wings of love,
Caressed so tenderly,
O'er pathways strewn with flowers
To Love's own world of bliss,
Where heart and heart doth share
The raptures of a kiss.
There arms are ever open,
And smiles are ever thine,
Pure gladness and devotion
Make life a joy sublime.
So dreaming, thus dream on,
And may you happy be,
For when awakening comes,
All dreams forever flee.
