INCONSTANT MAN (From Keen Observation)
LET the man be who he mayI'm seeking character he'll sayAnd in his toil of work and strifeAnd in the ups and downs of lifeHe will succumb in many a way,Yet change his mind ere break of day,To beauty, passing quite serene,He'll fondly bend there to be seenIn any form of love divineTo worship at the earthly shrine. And when he's had his very bestHe yet contented will not restFor having gained her, not in vainHe'll grow indifferent just the same. Then non-comprehension inflicts painUpon them both, and so makes tameAll the man starts out to gain.
