Therefore my heart and soul rejoice,
My flesh in hope shall rest,
Thou wilt not leave my soul in hell,
With pain and gloom oppressed.
For canst thou let thine Holy One
The grave's corruption see?
Oh no! then point the path of life,
And lead me on to Thee.

Yea, in Thy presence life is found,
There grief and pain are o'er:
At Thy right hand the torch of joy
Is lit—to fade no more.
