It has been remarked, that thefair Sex arc

Nothing can give a juster Idea of the an cient Jimple Theology than these two Lines of Pampho's, preserved by Philostratus. They are addressed to the supreme Being, the first Prin ciple of Life } tho' they seem particularly to re spect the Power of Vegetation.
