- and entire weekly Sum of three thoufand feven hundred Pounds, of lawful Englijh Money, out of all the
' Monies arifmg by the Hereditary Rates and Duties of Excife upon Peer, Ale, and other Liquors, ' which were granted to the Crown in the twelfth Vear of the Reign of King Charles the Second, and izCar.'s. c. ij. ' by the Duties of Excife payable during the fsiid late King William's Life, and by every or any of ' them, if all thofe Duties of Excife fhould fo long continue ; and if the faid Duties of Excife, payable ' during his faid late Majcfiy's Life, fhould happ. n to determine before the End of the faid Term of five ' Years, then out of the Monies arifing entirely by the faid Hereditary Duties of Excife, for and during ' all the Refidue which Ihould be then to come and unexpired of the laid Term of five Years, fhould be ' brought and paid into the Receipt of the Exchequer by weekly Payments, and in fuch Manner and ' Form as in the laid KQ. are partirularly mentioned, for the Purpofes in the faid Aft exprelFed : And it ' is thereby further ena£ted, That in Lieu and Difcharge of certain perpetual annual Payments, and of all Arrears thereof granted by his late Majefly King Charles the Second to the refpedive Patentees
- therein named, the faid Hereditary Revenue of Excife fhould, from and after the twenty-fixth Day of
' Deceivl>er one thoufand feven hundred and five, be and ftand charged for ever with the Payment of an- ' nual Suras after the Rate of three Pounds per Cer.iuin per Amium, to be paid as by the faid Aft is direfted, ' and fubjeft to fuch Power of Redemption as In the faid Aft is expreifed :' ' IL And whereas by an Aft of Parliament made in the firft Year of your Majefty's Reign, intituled, iAhhs flat, i, ' Ai^ Ai^ for the better Support of her Alajefty's Houjhold, and of the Ho: our and Dignity of the Craivn, it is c. 7. That the Duties of Excife which had been granted to his faid late '■ Majefty King Charles the Second, during his Life, and afterwards to King William and Queen ' Mary, during their Lives, and the Life of the Survivor of them (except as therein is excepted) and a ' certain Duty upon Vinegar, {hall be levied and paid to your Majefly, during your Life (which God ' preferve) and the fame, together with the laid Hereditary Duties of Excife, are thereby fubjefted to the ' faid weekly Pay;rent of three thoufand feven hundred Pounds, in the Manner therein mentioned, du- ' ring the faid Term of five Years ; and it was thereby further declared.
