XXXV. And be it further enafted by the Authority aforefaid. That from and after the faid firfi: Day of May one thoufand feven hundred and ten, the full Sum or Sums of Money received, or in any wife direftly or indireftly given, paid, agreed, or contrafted for, during the Term aforefaid, with or in Rela- te be inffrted in tion to every fuch Clerk, Apprentice, and Servant as aforefaid, Ihall be truly inferted and written in the lodentuie, V/ords at length,, in fome Indenture or other Writing, which fliall contain the Covenants, Articles, &c. on Forfei- Contrafts, or Agreements, relating to the Service of fuch Clerk, Apprentice, or Servant as aforefaid, and theVum™ * ^^'^ h&'iiX Date upon the Day of the figning, fealing, or other Execution of the fame ; upon Pain, that every Mafter or Miftrefs, to or with whom, or to whofe Ufe, any Sum of Money whatfoever fhall be given, paid, fecured, or contrafted, for or in Refpeft of any fuch Clerk, Apprentice or Servant as afore- faid, which fhall not be truly and fully fo inferted and fpecified in fome fuch Indenture or other Writing, fhall, for every fuch Offence, forfeit double the Sum fo given, paid, fecured or contracted for; the one Moiety of which Forfeitures fliall be to her Majefly, her Pleirs or Succeffors, and the other Moiety, with full Cofts, to any Perfon or Perfons who fhall inform and fue for the fame, by Aftion of Debt, Bill, Plaint, or Information, in any Court of Record at Weftminjler, or in tk^z Exchequer oi Scotland, at any Time after the executing, making, or figning of any fuch Indenture or Writing, or making any fuch Contraft or Agreement, and v/ithin one Year after the Time limited or appointed for the Service of any fuch Clerk, Apprentice, or Servant, to or with fuch Mafter or Miftrefs, fhall be expired. That the faid CommiiHoners for ma- te be provided, naging the faid Duties on ftampt Vellum, Parchment and Paper, fhall, before the faid firft Day o'i May &c. one thoufand feven hundred and ten, provide two new Stamps to be ufed in purfuance of this Aft, (over Cmccrmng and befides the Stamps heretofore requifite for or in Refpeft of fuch Indenture, or other Writing, by Vir- Stampjeefar- (^g gf jj^g Statutes in that Cafe made) the one of which new Stamps fhall denote the faid Duty of fix ^^■, ' " Pence in the Pound, and the other of the faid new Stamps fhall denote the faid Duty of one Shilling in, JO Jim. c. 19 the Pound ; and that all fuch Indentures, or other Writings, containing the Sums truly given, paid, &■ 26. agreed, or contrafted for as aforefaid, which fhall, within or during the faid Term of five Years, be en- iz Ann. fat. i. And be it enafted by the Authority aforefaid, That all the faid Indentures, and other Wri- broughttothe tings, which fliall or ought to contain the whole Sum truly given, paid, agreed, or contrafted for as Head" Office, &c. aforefaid, which fhall, within or during the faid Term of five Years, be entred into, executed, or figned, in 2 Months af- jn any Part of Great Britain, (not being within the Limits of the faid weekly Bills of Mortality) fhall ter Date, ^^^ jj^g Option of the Party concerned) be brought or fent, either to the Head Office within the Limits of the faid weekly Bills, or elfe to fome of the Colleftors, appointed or to be appointed for her Majefty's Duties upon ftampt Vellum, Parchment, and Paper, who fhall refide without the Limits of the faid weekly Bills, in England, IFales, or the Town oi Benvick upon Tweed, or to fome of tlie Officers to be appointed for the Duties by this Aft granted in Scotland, within two Months after the Date, Execution, or Signing of every fuch Indenture or Writing refpeftively ; and upon producing of every fuch Indenture or Writing, either at the faid Head Office, or to fuch Colleftor or other Officrer as aforefaid, her Ma- jefty's Duties hereby granted fliall be paid, either to the faid Receiver General at the faid Head Office, or and there the to fuch Collcftor or Other Officer as aforefaid ; and in cafe the faid Payment fliall be made to the imme- Tn^dCentu'e^ diate Plands of the Receiver General in the faid Head Office, for her Majefty's Ufe, then the Indenture flampt, &c"or o"" Writing, for which fuch Payment fliall be made, fhall be torthwith ftamped with one of the faid new theCo'ikaorto Stamps, as the Cafe fhall require ; and in cafe fuch Payment fliall be made to the Hands of fuch Col- endojfeaRe- leftor, or Other Officer, without the Limits of the faid weekly Bills, the fame Colleftor or other Officer ceipt, &c. is hereby required to indorle on fuch Indenture or other Writing, a Receipt for the Monies fo paid, in Words
