Pei-rons export- ing Sjlkf, &c. to give Notice to the proper Officer of pack- ing the faid Goods, the refpedtive Terms aforefaid, and for the faid Dtilies upon fuch Silks, Callicoes, Linens, Stuffs and Pa" per, as fliall be printed, painted, ftained or dyed in Great Britatfj, at any Tin-,e or Times within or during the refpeftive Terms therein granted, as aforefaid, as the fame fliall arife, into the Receipt of her Majefty's Exchequer in England, under the like Penilties, Forfeitures and Difabilities, as are to be inflicted by this Aft for diverting or mifapplying any Monies by this Aft appropiiated or appointed for any the Purpofcs herein after mentioned. XII. And it is hereby enaftsd by the Authority aforefaid, That all the feveral Duties by this Aft impofed, as aforefaid, upon Sope, Paper of all Sorts, Paftboards, Millboards, Scaleboards, chequered and llriijed Linens, and upon printed, painted, flained and dyed Silks, Callicoes, Linens and Stuffs, during the faid Termor Terms of Years, therein by this Aft granted, in all Cafes whatfoevcr (except v/here other Pro- vifion or Direftion is fpecially made or given by this Aft) fliall be raifed, levied, afcertained, fecured, col- lefted, anfwered and paid, by fuch Ways, Means and Methods, and under fuch Pains, Penalties and For- feitures, and with the like Difcounts, Allowances, Exemptions and Drawbacks, and in fuch Manner and Form, as the Duties impofed on the fame Commodities refpeftively, by an Aft made in the tenth Year of her Majefty's Reign, for laying feveral Duties upon Sope, Paper, chequered and ftriped Linens, and upon certain Silks, Callicoes, Linens and Stufis, printed, painted or ftained, (amongft other Things thereby charged) for and during the refpeftive Terms thereby granted, towards raifing the Sum of one Million eight hundred thoufand Pounds therein mentioned, or by any Aft or Afts of Parliament thereby referred unto, or by any other Aft of this Seffions of Parliament are to be raifed, levied, afcertained, fecured, col- lefted, anfwered and paid refpeftively; and that the faid Duty by this Aft impofed upon Starch, during all the faid Term of two and thirty Years therein by this Aft granted, fliall be raifed, levied, afcertained, fe- cured, collefted, anfwered and paid, by fuch Ways, Means and Methods, and under fuch Pains, Penal- ties and Forfeitures, and with the like Difcounts, Allowances, Exemptions and Drawbacks, and in fuch Manner and Form, as the Duties impofed by another Aft of the tenth Year of her Majefty's Reign, upon Starch (amongfl other Things thereby charged) for and during the Term thereby granted, towards railing another Sum of one Million eight hundred thoufand Pounds therein mentioned, or by any Aft or Afts of Parliament thereby referred unto, are to be raifed, levied, afcertained, fecured, collefted, anfwered and paid refpeftively, except in fuch Cafe or Cafes, touching which other Direftions are given by this Aft j and that the faid Duties by this Aft impofed upon Coals exported to any foreign Parts, (except before ex- cepted) during the faid Term of Years by this Aft granted of and in the fame, fliall be raifed, levied, af- certained, fecured, collefted, anfwered and paid, by fuch Ways, Means and Methods, and under llich Pains, Penalties and Forfeitures, and in fuch Manner and Form, as the prefent Duties upon Exportation of Coals, or any other cuftdmable Goods, to any foreign Parts, by any Law or Statute now in Force, during the Continuance thereof, are to be raifed, levied, afcertained, fecured, collefted, anfwered and paid. XIIT. And for better fecuring the Duties by this Aft chargeable upon fuch of the Commodities aforefaid^ as by the firft mentioned Aft of the tenth Year of her Majefty's Reign are direfted to be marked orftamped ; and to the End the Duties arifmg thereupon by this Aft may be better diftinguifhed, and applied to the fe- parate Ufe by this Aft intended. Be it further enafted by the Authority aforefaid. That fuch proper Stamps- or Seals fhall, on or before the faid fecond Day of Augujl one thoufand feven hundred and fourteen, be pro- vided and diffributed by the faid refpeftive Commiffioners, as may ferve to denote the Payment or charging of the feveral Duties by this and the faid former Aft chargeable on the fame Commodities refpeftively ; and that the faid Stamps or Seals by this Aft direfted to be provided, fliall be ufed and applied accordingly, and fhall and may, from Time to Time, be renewed or altered by the faid refpeftive Commiffioners, as of- ten as there fliall be a necelTary Occafion for renewing the fame. XIV. And be it alfo enafted by the Authority aforefaid, That all the Powers, Authorities, Rules, Di- reftions, Pains of Death, and other Pains, Penalties and Forfeitures, Claufes, Matters and Things what- foever, contained in the faid feveral Afts of the tenth Year of her Majefty's Reign, for raifing, receiving, levying, recovering, fscurin^ and paying the Duties on fuch Commodities before mentioned, as are by this- Aft charged with new or additional Duties thereupon, or touching the Marks or Stamps thereby direfted to be continued, praftifed, and put in Execution, for raifing, receiving, levying, recovering, fecuring and paying the fame new or additional Duties, by this Aft charged upon the fame Commodities refpeftively, and all Arrearages thereof, as fully and effeftually to all Intents and Purpofes as if they were particularly and at large repeated in the Body of this prefent Aft, except in fuch Cafes only where any Alteration there- in is fpecially made by this Aft. ' XV. And whereas great Quantities of Silks, Callicoes and Linens that are printed, painted, ftained or ' dyed in Great Britain, are frequently fliipt of^" in order to be exported, as is pretended, for which the ' Exporter doth receive a very great Drawback; and notwithftanding the Law already made to prevent the ' relanding of them, yet very great Quantities are frequently relanded, to the great leirsning of her Ma- ' jefty's Revenue, and Prejudice of the fair 1 rader ;' To prevent which evil Praftices for the future, and to fecure the Duties upon the faid Goods, Be it enafted by the Authority aforefaid, That from and after the faid fecond Day oi Augpji one thoufand (even hundred and fourteen, all and every Perfon and Perfons that fliall export any Silks, Callicoes or Linens that are printed, painted, flained or dyed, for which a Draw- back is to be allowed, fuch Perfon or Perfons (before he or they fliall fhip the faid Goods) in order ti ob- tain the Drawback for the fame, fhall be obliged to give Notice to the proper Officer or Officers to be ap- pointed
