'HERE AS the opening of the Port of Exeter for the Importation of Wool, and Woollen Yarn from Ireland., will be of great Utility and Advantage to the Woollen Manufaftures in the City of Exfier, and alfo in the Neighbourhood thereof, by rendering the Conveyance of thofe Materials more eafy, cheap and expeditious, and rnay alfo be a Means of increafing the importation of Wool, and Woollen Yarn from Ireland., into this Kingdom :' May it therefore pleafe your moft Excellent Majc-fty, That it may be enacted ; and Be it enadted by the King's moft Excellent Majefty, by and with the Advice and Confent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this prefent Parliament alTembled, Wool, &c. may and by the Authority of the fame. That from and after the firft Day of jnne one thouiand kven hundred be imported trom jjj^j fifty-three, it fhall and may be lawful for any Perfon or Perfons to import into the Port of Exeter any Fonof E.'eter- ^ool, or Woollen or Bay- Yarn, Wool-fells, Shortlings, Mortlings, Wool- flocks, and Worfted Yarn, ' from Ireland; any AiSt or A<9:s of Parliament to the contrary in any wife notwithftanding. Unt'ertlicRcgu- H. Provided always, and be it enacted by the Authority aforefaid. That all fuch Importations of Wool, Jations and Woollen or Bay-Yarn, Wool-fells, Shortlings, Mortlings, Wool-flocks, and "Worfted- Yarn, from Ireland, into the laid Port o^ Exeter, Iball be made from fuch Ports only, and under the fame Reftrictions and Regulations in all Refpedts, as Wool or Woollen-Yarn is now by Law permitted to be imported into the feveral Ports of Bidd.ford, Barnjlaple, Mlnehead, Bridgwater, Brijld, Milford Haven, Ckejier, Liv:r- poole, Lancajter and Great Yarmouth, or any of them, and in the fame Manner, to all Intents and Purpofes, as if the fud Port oi Exeter had been particularly named for the Importation of the faid Goods, in an Act by TO X- u Will, made in the tenth and eleventh Years of the Reign of the late King William the Third, (intituled.
