The Monies to LXI. Provided always, That whatever Monies fhall be ifTued out of the faid Rates and Duties bythis be replaced. Aft granted, for making good any fuch Deficiencies as aforefaid, the fame fhall be replaced by and out of the firft Supplies to be granted in Parliament, next after fuch Deficiency fhall have been made good; any thing herein before contained to the contrary in any wife notwithfbanding. Deficiencies of LXII. And it is hereby enafted by the Authority aforefaid. That if at any Time or Times, the Produrs- thefe Duties, of the faid Rates and Duties by this Aft granted, as aforel'aid, fliall happen to be fo low or deficient, as that &c. how to be the Monies arifing thereby into the Exchequer, (hall not be fufHcient to pay and dil'charge the feveral and made gouj, refpeftive Annuities, and other Charges by this Aft direfted to be paid tliereout, at the End of cither of the refpective half-yeaily Days of Payment, at v.'hich the fame are hereby direfted to be paid, then, and fo often, and in every fuch Cafe, fuch Deficiency or Deficiencies fliall or may be fupplied out of the Over- plus Monies, that fliall or may happen to arife, and be paid into the Exchequer in any fubfequent Half- years, as the faid feveral and refpeftive Annuities fhall, from time to time, become due and payable ; and in cafe fuch Overplus Monies (hall not be fufficient to fatisfy the Deficiencies hereby intended from time to time to be paid thereout, that then, and in every fuch Cafe, the Deficiencies fo from time to time happen- ing, fhall from time to time be anfwered, and made good out of the firft Supplies which (hall be granted in Parliament, next after fuch Deficiencies fnall appear; and in cafe no fuch Supplies fliall be granted within fix Months next after fuch Deficiencies. fliall happen, then the fame fliall be made good out of any the Mo- nies which at any Time or Times fliall be or remain in the Receipt of the Exchequer, of the Surplufies, ExcefTes, or Overplus Monies commonly called The Sinking Fund (except fuch Monies of the faid Sinking Fund as are appropriated to any particular Ufe or Ufes, by any former Aft c" Afts of P.irliament in that Behalfj and fuch Monies of the faid Sinking Fund fliall and may be, from time to time, iflued and applied accordingly. Sinking Fund to LXIIl. Surplus how to LXIV. Provided always, and be it enafted by the Authority aforefaid. That in cafe there fliall beany be applied, Surplus or Remainder of the Monies, arifing by the faid Rates and Duties, after the faid feveral and refpec- tive Annuities, and other Payments or Charges by this Aft direfted to be paid thereout, and all Arrears thereof are fatisfied, or Money fufHcient flirdl be refcrvcd for that Purpofe, fuch Surplus or Remainder (ball, from time to time, be referved for the Difpofition of Parliament, and (hall not be ii'lue.i but by Authority of Parliament, and as fliall be direfted by any future Aft or Aft of Parliament; any thing in any former or other A6t or Afts of Parliament to the contrary notwithlfanding. Provided alio, and it is hereby enafted by the Authority aforefaid, That at any Time, upon demption. one Year's Notice, to be printed in the London Gnzi'iti a.nd affixed upon the Royt^i EwlKngt: of Loi:d3n, by Authority of Parliament, at any of the half-yearly Feaft Days, for Payment of the f.'.ld feveral and refpec- tive Annuities, and upon Repayment by Parliament of the Principal Sum of four millions, and alfo upon Payment of the faid additional Capital of four hundred thoufand Pounds, amotmting together to the Prin- cipal Sum of four millions four hundred thoufand Pounds, for which the faid lel'peftive Annuities are pay- able to fuch refpeftive Perfons or Corporations as fliall be intitled to the fime Annuities, and alfo upon full Payment of all Arrearages of the fame Annuities ; then, and not till then, the faid refpeftive Annuities fhall- ceafe and determine, and be undirftood to be redeemed ; and from and after fuch Rcdi'mption, the Monies arifing from the faid feveral Rates and Duties by this Aft granted, as aforefaid, (hall not be illued or ap- plied to any Ufe or Purpofe, but as (hall be direfted by any future Aft or Afts of Parliament; any thing in this, or any former Aft or Afts of Parliament to the contrary notwithllanding; and that any Vote or Refolution of the Houfe of Commons, fignified by the Speaker in Writing, to be inferted in the London Ga- zette, and affixed on the Royal Exchange o( London, as aforefaid, fhall be deemed and adjudged to be fufficient Notice within the Words and Meaning of this Aft. LXVI. And be it further enafted by the Authority aforcftid, That if any Perfon or Perfons fliall, at any- Time or Times, be fued or profeculed for any thing by him or them done or executed in purfuance of this General UVuc.
