leftv's Subjects, and for preventing any Inconveniencies that might otherwife happen by Means of fuch Cmiffions ; Be it enaded by the King's moft Excellent Majefiiy, by and with the Advice and Confent of the Lords Spiritual and Temporal, and Commons, in this prefent Parliament affembled, and by the Authority of the fame, That all and every Perlbn and Perfons, who (hall on or before the twenty- Further Time eighth Day of November one thoufand feven hundred and fifty-five, take and fubfcribe the faid Oaths f^^'^^^^f^^^^ and Affurance refpedively, in fuch Cafes wherein by Law the faid Oaths or Affurance ought to have omitted to qua- been taken or fubfcribed, in fuch Manner and Form, and fuch Place and Places, as are appointed in Wy tliemfelvei. and by the faid Ad made in the firft Year of the Reign of his faid late Majefty King George, or by fubfcribe the faid Declaration againft to have been received, and the faid Declaration ought to have been made and fubfcribed, fhall be and are hereby indemnified, freed and difcharged from and againft all Penalties, Forfeitures, Incapacities and Difabihties incurred or to be incurred for or by reafon of any former Negled or Omiffion of taking or fubfcribing the faid Oaths or Affurance, or receiving the Sacrament, or making or fubfcribing the faid Declaration refpedively, according to the above mentioned Ads, or any of them, or any other Ad or Ads concerning Perfons in Offices or Places of Truft ; and is and are, and (hall be, fully and Perfons qualify- adually recapacitated and reftored to the fame State and Condition as fuch Perfon or Peribns were be- Timr"ie(brib^ fore fuch Negled or Omiffion, and (hall be deemed and adjudged to have duly qualified him, her or edrinfemnifie'd, themfelves according to the above mentioned Ads, and every of them ; and that all Ads done or to &c. be done by any fuch Perfon or Perfons, or by Authority derived from him or them, are and (liall be of the fame Force and Validity as the fame, or any of them would have been, if fuch Perfon or Per- fons had taken the faid Oaths or Affurance, and received the Sacrament of the Lord's Supper, and made and fubfcribed the faid Declaration refpectively, according to the Diredion of the faid Ads, and every of them ; and that fuch Perfon or Perfons qualifying themfelves in Manner and within the Time appointed by this Ad, (hall be to all Intents and Purpoles as effedual as if fuch Perfon or Perfons had refpedively taken the faid Oaths and Affurance, and received the Sacrament, and made and fub- fcribed the faid Declaration, within the Time and in the Manner appointed by the feveral Ads befora II Provided always, That this Ad, or any thing herein contained, fhall not extend, or be con- ^""^ ^^„r'- ftrue'd to extend, to reftore or intitle any Perfon or Perfons to any Office or Employment, Benefice, "i°eady avoS Matter or Thing whatfoever, already adually avoided by Judgment of any of his Majefty's Courts of or filled up.
