Chinese Republic as founded through the moral force of Sun Yat Sen.
The author has to thank Mrs. Sun for many of the illustrations, some of which are the only ones of their kind. He has, likewise, to thank a member of the Sun family for the chapter on "Domestic Relations," a delicate subject with which he did not dare deal without confidential assistance.
The author takes this opportunity to express his appreciation of the many days of generous hospitality which it has been his honor to enjoy in the happy and hospitable, though temporary, domicile of the Founder of the Chinese Republic.
