Inn), 1S24; he sue. to the peerage [LI 22 July 1832; was M.P. for East Suffolk, 1832-47 and 1856-06 ; High Sheriff of Bnffulk, 1853. He was cr. 13 July 1866, BARON HARTISMERE of Hartismere, co. Suffolk [U.K.] He m. 5 Jan. 1837, at Oakley Park, Suffolk, Anna, 1st da. of Gen. Sir Edward Kerbison, 1st Bart., K.C.B. and GCE, by Mary, da. of Alexander Eli.ice, of rittencrieff, co. Fife. He d. 16 April 1870, aged 69, at 6 Grafton street. Midx. His widow, who was b. 16 May 1812, d. there 10 May 1889, and was bur. at Tboruham, co. Suffolk. Will pr. at £3,923. V. 1870. 5. Family Estates.— These, in 18S3, consisted rf 10,910 acres in Suffolk, 122 in Norfolk, and five in the East Riding of Yorkshire, besides three in co. Wicklow.
