Slie, who was b. 3 Feb. 1773. rf. at Bath, 30 Jan. 183S, aged 04. He d. 26 April 1845, in his 80th year, at Euville Hall afsd., and was bur. at Dunham Massey. Will pr. 5 July 1S45. He m. 20 Dec. 1824, at Gosford House, Scotland, Katharine, 4th da. of his maternal uncle, Francis (Ciiahteris-We.myss-Douglas), titli E.inL of Wk.my.ss [S.] He d. v.ji. at Dunham Massey afsd., 24 Oct. 1835, aged 33. George Harri (( Irey), Earl of Stamford [1628], Earl of WaRRINQTON [1796], Baron Grey of Ghoby [1603], and Baro.v Dm.amkii of DtlNHAM Massey [1796], grandson and h., being only s. and h. of George Harry (Gbky), Baron Grey of Groby, and Katharine, his wife, both abovenamed. He was ft. 7 Jan. 1827, and sue to the peerage as Baron Grey of Ghoby, on the death of his father, 24 Oct. 1835 ; ed. at Eton, and at Trim Coll., Cambridge, being cr. M.A., 1848, having previously sue. to the Earldom of Stam- ford, kc, on the death of bis grandfather, 26 April 1845 ; Hon. Col. Lane. Kifle Volunteers (7th Hatt.), 1871. He m. firstly, 23 Dec. 1S48, at St. Nicholas', Brighton, Elizabeth, da. of John Billagk, of Wiucanton, co. Somerset.( b ) She rf. ts.p. at Brighton, 22 Oct. 1854. He m. secondly, 29 Aug. 1855, at Clewer, Berks, Katharine, 2d da, of Henry Cocks. He d. s.p. 2 Jan. 1883, at Bradgate Park, co. Leicester, aged 56, less five days, and was bur. at Enville. At his death the Earldom of Warrinyton and the Barony of Delamer of Dunham Massey became extinct. Will pr. 21 June 1883 at £135,507. His widow living 1896. VIII. 1883. S. Harry (Grey), Earl of Stamford and Baron Grey of Ghoby, cousin and h. male, being 1st s. and h. of the Rev. Harry Grey, by his first wife Frances Elizabeth, da. of Hugh Ellis, of Carnarvon, which Harry (who rf. 26 March I860, aged 76) was only s. and h. of the Huu. John Grey (rf. July, 1802, aged 59) the 3d and yat s. of Harry, the 4th Earl. He was 6. 26 Feb. and ftnri. 30 April 1812, at Knutaford, co. Chester, ed. at Sherborne School, and at St. Edmund Hall, Oxford ; inatric 2 May 1832 aged 20 ; B.A. 1836, taking holy orders shortly afterwards ; emigrated to Wynberg, Cape of ( a ) His portrait "after H. Edridge," when, apparently, about 70, is engraved in Doyle." () He is said to have been a shoemaker and, also, one of the servants (" Gips ") at Trin. Coll., Cambridge.
